A Brief History
Southeast Baptist Church was a mission’s opportunity from First Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. It was originally called Southeast Chapel and was established in 1975. Six women met in one of the homes off of Liberty Road and carved the way for this new work for Christ in Southeast Guilford County to begin. The church was constituted on May 2, 1982 as Southeast Baptist Church.
Who Are We?
Like many Baptist churches who are autonomous in nature, we seek diligently to make mature followers of Jesus Christ through…
- joyful and meaningful worship;
- spiritual nurture;
- and compassionate outreach.
Southeast has a great desire to worship the Lord with joyful praise and study the word of God and make careful application of that word in their lives. We are a caring and loving congregation with a heart for missions and helping others.
We are traditional Southern Baptists who celebrate and encourage unity among diversity. It is what makes us strong and open to our community. God has blessed us and it is our goal to be a blessing to others around us.
Southeast Baptist Church is a beautiful community of gifted people who love the Lord and His ways.
